June Favorites

Not only was this month exciting because it was the first month to kick off the summer (per usual), but this particular June was momentous due to the fact that I am now finally a high school graduate. I could get sentimental and explain my emotions I have while entering ‘reality,’ but I will save that for another post. For now, just keep reading to know what I’ve been loving in June. (Better late than never, right?)

The true cream- aqua bomb //Belif

With the blazing hot weather, I was in need of a good moisturizer that wouldn’t clog my pores. Shoutout to the lady at Sephora who recommended this jar of paradise. For someone with combination skin, this product has changed the game. I have been applying this for several weeks to my face/neck (morning & night) I can definitely say that I’ve noticed a change in texture as it has smoothed out my complexion, which helps foundation lay on the skin.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

As a ‘religious youtube watcher’ I couldn’t help but to hop on the bandwagon and purchase this. Now I know what all the rave was about. This is close to a full coverage concealer. I personally don’t use this to cover up blemishes…I use it to highlight my under eye area (I got it in shade light) , applying it with a damp beauty sponge. It doesn’t set into fine lines (especially if you set it with a translucent powder) and it also works great as an eyeshadow primer.

Too Faced Natural Love Pallet

First off- my images don’t do these colors justice. When I first opened this I legit had a mini heart attack.  Thank you April & Amber for the amazing graduation gift. The colors are beyond gorgeous and I swear the swatches are even more pigmented compared to just the pans. I already love Too Faced eyeshadow formula so colors make me just that more obsessed. Even the packaging is to die for. What else is there to say besides go buy it because I’m pretty sure it’s limited edition. It’s worth every penny.

Loving Tan Deluxe Bronzing Mousse

I’d say it’s pretty certain that if you asked people if they feel better with a sunkissed tan, the majority would say ‘hell yeah.’ I will admit I have ‘fake baked’ a few times (typically for special events), but this is because I was always to nervous to try a self tanner due to the chance of it looking horrendous and completely unnatural. After giving it thought, I was sick of exposing myself to the harms of a tanning bed and needed something else to achieve a summer glow. I caved and bought what a majority of youtubers use–Loving Tan. I will say that I’m impressed with the lack of streakiness and the natural olive undertones that stain the skin. If you apply it right and take care of the tan it will last you for 5-7 days. I went with the medium shade just to test it out, but now since it’s mid summer I will probably get ultra dark for my next bottle. **Tip: search Loving Tan coupon codes on youtube and many youtubers will have them in the downbar of their video.

Staple Rings

Not only did my sister travel 2000 miles to come to my grad party, but she also got me my first little blue box. I about fell over when I saw it. I’ve always talked about how I need an everyday ring and Hailey found the one! I can’t thank her enough for her support and generous gift with so much meaning behind it. // My dad also got Hailey (my bff, not sister) matching nail rings. His words when he gave it to us was ‘you guys nailed it’ in which he meant jumping out of a plane and living.

BCBG Black Slip-ons

Recently I’ve been obsessed with quick and easy sneakers that you can slip on and bolt out of the house. I don’t own a pair of birkenstocks because I never felt the need to splurge on them. I’ve been going for slip-on VANS. When I saw these shoes at DSW, I knew I had to have them because they’re so versatile. They can be dressed up or down. I wouldn’t walk around downtown for a day in these, but for running errands and hanging out they’re great!

Mini Backpack/Purse

The min I purchased my Lolla ticket I knew I was in need of a mini backpack. I found the perfect one at Pitaya downtown Madison that actually doubles as a purse. I’ve been obsessed ever since I bought it and can’t stop using it.

Book Recommendation: Everything Everything–I wanted to read it before I watch the movie and it’s such an easy read for the summer.

Netflix Recommendation: Orange Is The New Black-season 5. I’ll just say that you won’t regret it.

Fav Highlight/Mems

Skydiving– 10/10 would recommend

Graduating High School– I would also recommend this.. it will probably help out your future. But seriously where does time go? Feels like I was a tiny Freshman yesterday. Can’t wait for my next chapter!

Country USA– I’m not the biggest fan of walking in mud, but I will say that it was a cool experience to wear cowgirl boots everyday. It was definitely an eventful week and I’m glad I got to spend it with my friends before we all move onto college.

Sand Cloud Ambassador– Being able to work with such an amazing company that gives back is beyond an honor. 10% of profits are donated to help protect marine life! Shop this link for a discount! #savethefishies
